  Keynote Speaker Megan LottsMegan Lotts, the Art Librarian at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey will speak at the conference's Opening Session at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 17. Megan Lotts will also offer a Tiny Prints Vending Machine of her artwork. Proceeds from this project will be donated to the award winning Friends of Samuels Public Library, VLA’s 2024 Virginia Library of the Year. 4 quarters buys one tiny surprise artwork. Closing Speaker George M. JohnsonGeorge is the bestselling author of All Boys Aren't Blue. Their newest title, Flamboyants: The Queer Harlem Renaissance I Wish I'd Known, is out on September 24. They will speak after the 2:00 PM VLA Business Meeting and raffle drawing on Friday, October 18. George M. Johnson's Closing Session is sponsored by Virginia Beach Public Library Foundation.
