When did you first know that you wanted to work in the library field?

I have always attended library programs and utilized the services but I didn't know this was the job for me until a position opened up in Farmville.

What is your favorite part of librarianship?

Finding the right book for a person and reader's advisory.

What was your first library or library-related job?

Library assistant at Buckingham County Public Library.

What projects or programs are you currently working on at your library?

Currently, I am adding the series to the spine label for all of our books to help patrons find items easier, providing one-on-one tech help, adding to the adult collection, weeding adult collection items, and working on making the local history room more user friendly.

What issue or topic in librarianship are you most interested in?

Diverse authors and having books that everyone will enjoy.

Why are you a member of VLA and what is the most important reason to you for being a member of VLA?

I believe it is important to make connections across the state, share ideas with others, and learn together.
