In this talk authors Brooke Duffy and Christine Jansen will discuss their book chapter, "They told me I was wrong, but they didn't tell me why": Slowing down IL lessons with contemplation and reflection, which was published earlier this year in Slow Librarianship: Reflections and Practices (Litwin Books & Library Juice Press). Duffy and Jansen will share some reflective and contemplative practices they used in the development and teaching of a 3-credit information literacy course, and some similarities between slow librarianship and contemplative pedagogy.
