Graphic Novel Diversity Award: Deadline for Judges

The Virginia Library Association is looking for 10 judges for the Graphic Novel Diversity Awards! We are in need of 5 people each to judge the Youth category and the Adult category. Deadline to apply is April 14.

If you love graphic novels, this could be a terrific opportunity for you! Judges who volunteer and are accepted will remain on the committee for two years. In order to apply, you must be a current VLA member and have no affiliations with publishers of graphic novels. The committee members will meet online three times this year, and will need to attend one orientation webinar. More details about expectations for judges can be found here: http://bit.ly/2psFCKu.

To apply to be a judge, you must complete this application: http://bit.ly/3e05JUa We recommend that you write your answers in a word processing program and copy and paste it into the form. Please allow yourself adequate time to complete the judging application, as all applicants will be required to read and evaluate a graphic novel of their choosing using the same criteria used by the judging committee.
