POSITION: Budget Reconciliation Specialist (00651A) – Full-time position

Reporting to the Libraries Business Manager, this position provides administrative support in the areas of monthly budget reconciliation, facilities maintenance, procurement, and travel. Incumbent works cooperatively and effectively with Libraries and other University staff, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

Basic mathematical skills necessary to accurately perform monthly Banner budget reconciliation; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; basic ability to build strong internal and external relationships in a diverse, team-based environment: considerable verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; considerable time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; basic ability to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers; some knowledge of accepted practices, policies and procedures in purchasing, budgeting and general fiscal operations; effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; basic experience performing budget reconciliation tasks; some experience providing administrative support in an office environment; some customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Some experience related to facilities maintenance, property management or a related enterprise; some college coursework beyond a high school diploma; some experience working in higher education; some experience with Commonwealth of Virginia purchasing system, eVA.
